2 Paint or Not 2 Paint

Finally got a set of Bushwacker Pocket-style flares. Only cost $209 from eBay w/c I picked up today in the OC. I had planned to paint them to match but now I'm having second thoughts. I think an unfinished/unpainted look would give the truck more character. Opinions? Comments?

They were from a private seller. He only had them for a couple of months along w/ 35's when he decided to switch back to the OEMs to save gas.

Here they are as seen on eBay.

I think they look good unpainted but if you put them on unpainted and dont like them you can always take them off and paint them. You got a really good deal on those man, I couldnt ever get that lucky

Paint 'em. In my opinion, it provides a cleaner, more professional look. To me, leaving them unpainted, out of the box, just wouldn't be right.

With that said, it's your truck bro - do what you want. What is the look you're after?

I say not paint them.

Not only do I like the looks better, but:

Had flares on my last truck, and they take a beating with stones, etc. Paint has a good chance of getting wrecked there in short order.

Yes, someone will come along in a minute or so and say I'm retarted and wrong, but just relaying my personal experiences and the opinion you asked for.

Yes, I forgot to mention that one. One look at my Ford issue flares definitely brings up some disturbing images.

put them on,see how you like them unpainted.wear em like that for a month or two, then paint them when you want to switch up,personally id like them not painted, adds more definition to the fender area,if you paint them it will kinda merge the 2 together.

Ooh! Ooh! Let me take this one...You're retarded and wrong.

Seriously, I think I'd go with unpainted too. I've been pondering this for a while. I'm pretty sure I want a set, but I don't know if I'd paint 'em or not. I think with my DSG, I'd go ahead and paint them, with the contrast you your truck, I'd go with unpainted.
