Before anybody answers this....JWM1 needs to look up in the dictionary on how to spell "milage".

Since installing a Lariat gauge cluster, I've been able to track the mpg.
Highway 19 to 21 depending on how heavy the foot gets. Normal back and forth to work, combo of highway and city, have been averaging 18 mpg.

Mine's not getting great gas mileage right now. I got an 05 5.4l 3v 3.55 LS Reg Cab, Flareside.

The last tank I checked came out to 15mpg and it had a couple good interstate drives on it out into the country to go play with my guns. It had less than 1000 miles on it then and I'm only at 1300 miles now. Going to wait till I get to 3k to do a whole tank of gas and check out how the truck is running. Might also see if Ford has any Reflashes for my truck or not.

I have the 4x4 lariat. 12 MPG with a mix of highway/city. It's only got 900 miles on it so the engine is not broken in.

My 2004 4x2 Screw Lariat with 5.4L and 3.55 LS gears just averaged 19mpg on a 3k mile trip from CA to CO and back. I drove I-70 over the hills in Utah and the Rockies in CO. This truck did awesome even at 12,000 feet over Independence Pass. What a great trip and awesome sights.

My 5.4 XLT 4X4 with the 3.55 rearend averages 17+mpg (this will decrease if the A/C is used) on the work commute, 35 miles each way going over a mountain pass from 6000ft up to 7100ft down to 4200ft and return. Using 4WD on the same route drops down to 13mpg. Recent 516 mile run from Tahoe to San Diego, going down, 20+mpg (no A/C used) coming back, gaining altitude and using the A/C for most of the trip, mileage dropped to 18 mpg. Hope this helps. RD

14.5 city. It's blown though. Haven't taken it on a highway trip yet so I don't know the highway mileage.

My MPG is calculated the old fashioned way, but at looking at the gauge cluster, I have to say it is pretty close.

But I normally get between 16mpg when I am driving like a jerk (when my wife is not with me) and 18 when I am nursing it (when my wife is with me). I have a Scab Larait with the LS rear, its 4x4

I run the cheapest gas possible, run the AC and have had the reflash.

I have about 6400 Miles on the truck.
