I asked b4, but i need to know about tires

I have a 2004 f150 4x2 xlt extended cab, I installed a leveling kit 2.5 and I would like to know what s the biggest tires I can ride on stock rims. Some one suggested 35x12.50r18 but some people are saying that those would be too big and they would rub too much, i dont mind a little rubbbing. I just would like to know my options....thanks

I had the same question once.. and found out i could actually run the HUMMER factory BFG on my stock 17" wheel. I think its a 315/70. But someone pointed out that even though that tire may fit with minor rubbing, it would most likely wear un-evenly due to how skinny our factory wheels are. I think they said the center of the tire would wear out first, so it would be good to upgrade to a 9" wide whel. I think i may go with a 33" tops, then start considering new wheels. Hope that helps a little. (Hope thats right too.. correct me if im wrong)

the 35s would probably rub a little as you said, and they are right about uneven wear as a result of mounting on the stock 7.5" rims. Personally, i've gone with the 33" option on my truck- theyre still big, wide, and give the truck the aggressive stance I wanted... they are technically too wide for the rims as well, but being only 1" over width didn't seem quite as bad for the tire wear as 35's may do (2" over width). ive got a couple pics in my bozeman gallery of my truck on 33's if you want to take a glance. whatever you do, good luck!

I would go with 33's. Keep in mind he has a 4x2 which is not as tall as your 4x4.
