Treat yourself to an F150. I understand that it is a big purchase! I'm a college kid and this is quite a bit of money for me, but I figured if I'm going to pay for something for the next five years it better be the best damn truck on the road. So I bought the F150. :rocker: By the way, just turned 7000 miles and no problems.

Of course man...I'd love to sell you a car/truck. However, because all Ford dealerships have the same prices right now, I can't really do anything about price, but I can guarantee that your sales experience will be next to none. Shoot me an E-mail with what you might be interested in, and we'll chat about it. I take pride in my work :D Michael |
True '05 here and no problems at 4500 miles....

I traded in an 02 Silverado that I liked a lot. Never a problem with the truck in 75,000 miles. I looked at the 05 Silverdo and just did not like what I was seeing. I bought the 05 XLT and with 10,000 miles on it, I love the truck. It was disappointing in performance for the first 6,000 miles but I had the reflash done and it now performs like 300 horses should. A lot more fun to drive and it is put together better than my Chevy was. I sure would hate to go back to that Chevy.

Like said above, don't read a forum where people discuss issues, and project it on the whole population of vehicles. If you only read Ford, Chevy, Dodge and Nissan forums, you would keep your Blazer. I love Ford, but if I thought I would get more for my money with Chevy or Dodge, I'd buy them, because I do not have money to burn. EVERY make/model of vehicles have their own problems. Ford F-150 is the best selling pickup in America for 28 years running for a reason, and now the best selling VEHICLE in America for the same reason. If everyone who bought these trucks was having as much trouble as some of the people on this board, they couldn't give these trucks away.
Best of luck with your decision. |
I got $26,500 in trade for the '04 w/ 90,000 miles!

I've driven nothing but cars in the past and I couldn't be happier with my 05 FX4. No issues at all.

OK OK OK OK you guys have convinced me. It is great to hear some..well actually so much positive about this vehicle....thetruthabouttrucks was awsome also. And just for the record, I was nver even considering anything else...it was either get the Ford or nothing at all. Thank you all for the help in this decision. When I have my white Lariat 4x4 I will post pics.
thanks again. |
I don't care if you buy one or not, I just wanted to post on this thread.
I like my '05 so far. |

I;m not going to read all of the posts this is just my experience.
I am an 05' Lariat with no vibes and an AC this will run you out of the truck. I literally havn't had any issue with my rig. I take that back I had them repaint a tiny spot, but thats becasue I am anal about paint. I would not recommend any other truck besides Ford F150 right now. We have Chevy's and DOdge's at work and hands down my Screw has more room, more comfortable, and just plain better workmanshipt than the other too. I will not win races against the other too but guess what, I drive a truck not my a Vette. I may chip mine out a little to get a bit more power but thats just to enjoy my truck more not to be a hemi or wortec killer. To each is own but I really have never enjoyed a truck or any other vehicle (beside my merceded) more than my F150. :rocker: |
