I have a chance to get a set of BFG mud K/Ts (35") on 18" FX4 wheels for $950. The tires are in great shape, and have about 5K miles on them. Im not really interested in putting them on my truck, but I thought about getting them and selling them locally for $1000.00 or so, but I wonder if they are worth it? I hate to get stuck with these, they are too much tire for my 2WD...

Input would be appreciated...

 

They are worth what you are willing to pay. I would hate to lay out $950 to make $50. There are better ways to make a buck.

 

I agree...not a very sound investment proposal if that's your intention. Do you have a buyer lined up and ready to go? If you don't need them, what will you do when you can't find a buyer? Loose $950?

 

If shipping was not so high I'd take them off your hands I'm pretty sure you can find a buyer for them.

 

I need to find a buyer locally. Its a deal where I could make $50 without ever having to touch them. I would sell them before I buy them, I'm not laying out the cash in hopes of making $50, I already have too many tires and wheels in my garage as it is... It seems hard to sell factory wheels these days, that's why I wouldnt lay the cash out up front.
