Any chance your local store will price match from an online ad?

I ordered 295 70 17 Terra Grapplers from Discount Tire.com about a month ago. A week later they called and said they were on back order at Discount Tire AND Nitto itself. They estimated a 3 month wait. Needless to say I cancelled my order and got some hummer take off 315 70 17's on ebay.

Demand is outpacing supply by far.

discounttiredirect.com lists the 325/60/18 nitto as $217/ea. Just order them from there. You should get them at your house in a day or two. Then just take them to your local tire shop. You should be able to get all 4 mounted and balanced for under $50.

You should call and verify that though. That's what my 305/50/20's said when I ordered them, but it turned out they had a few sets even though the website said they didn't.

Here they are for $204.67, this is where I recently ordered my tires and rims from. Great prices. http://www.barretire.com/Tires/NITTO.htm
Hope this helps.

Well I have called everyone on the internet and nobody has them or can get them for months The few people thet have them are trying to rape me $300 a tire. Antone tried the Toyo's? They seem to cost a little more.

I can relate dude. Been trying to get the 295/70/17 for a few weeks now. I had read the backorder issues here on the forums stating that this was a problem in May and it was to be rectified in July.

We search discount stores that state they are in stock, but when I call the store, they all say the same thing "Someone owns them". Why the heck would their ordering system show in stock if their spoken for.

I'm rather concerned that with stock levels, what happens if you need one more due to a blow out or unrepairable puncture? Does this raise legal issues for the manufacturer?

My wife called Nitto directly today and they were completely unhelpful stating all we could do was call the place we purchased them from...we actually purchased them before knowing about this recent backorder problem.

Unsure what to do at this point as it is not a common size by any means.

Yep you are in the same boat I was over a month ago. I wanted those tires REAL BAD! I looked on ebay and guys had them for sale. I would try and buy them and yep...They are on 3 month backorder...for people that have been waiting. I would have to wait 4 months or more. I ended up getting the new M/T ATZ's and I have never been happier. I almost like them more myself.
