fuel guage problem

ok, its not serious, but concerning. Anyways, highway driving, it will stay on full for like almost 200km, about 450km at half a tank, 650 at 1/4 tank, but the last 1/4 of a tank is gone, and I mean empty at about 100km. No vehicle I've ever driven has had a linear guage, but this seems way out. I had my dealer look into it, they updated the PCM, but it didn't change anything. Another thing that seems weird is that when the tank shows about an 1/8 tank, and I stomp the throttle, it hesitates like its starving for fuel, I would think it shouldn't do that until its really empty. Anyone else noticed this? Is my guage screwed?

I think every vehicle I've ever owned was the same way.
