LT Door Handle help!!!! Urgent

I'm in the garage with my rear doors off trying to put on the LT door Handles and dynamat.

How do you get the cord that connects to the inside door handle off? That way the door panel isn't hanging by a cord...it just doesn't look good for it and makes putting on the dynamat next to impossible....please help!!!!

Found it. Now I'm just looking to take apart the door brace...whatever that is?
Screwed the pooch and broke one of the metal tabs holding the upper plastic trim on. Where can I buy a new clip?

The only 'cords' I can think of would be the window control wires or speaker wires, both of which you detach by unplugging.

I got the other cord which connects to the inside door handle. It's more of a cable.

door brace? Your installing lt handles and dynamat, correct? Im not sure what door brace your talking about. As far as the clips. take a pic or something. Some trim panel clips you can buy at a parts store, otheres you will have to go to the stealership.

I had to put 2 new doors on my Scap when I had an accident. Both driver side doors. Since I work at a body shop, I did all the labor/paint myself. But since the doors just come as "shells" I had to transfer all the "guts" of my old doors onto the new ones, including the windows which was a major pita. But better than new now. I did break some clips and ****, So i might be able to help you out a little.

As for a little tip. It is a lot easier to install new handles if you remove the 3 torque screws on the latch, that way all the linkages and rods can move around freely.

Good luck

hmm...I raised the plastic snap that holds the rod in the rear driver side door in a screw.

Problem....and a big one....it says remove the screws behind the handle that hold it on. Not the side screw, I'm talking about the rear one. How in the heck do you get to it???? I have a huge sheet of plexi glass there. Am I just not seeing it? Or am I totally screwed b/c there is plexi glass there?

duke - you need to take a break from modding.

Between the LT shifter and the door handles you are burning up.

How ticked is your girlfriend now? !!

Hey - don't feel bad, I did the same thing. It took me forever to find something to cut that damn glass with so that I could get it out of the frickin way..
