Tailgate Question?

Hey Guy's, when you open your tailgate does It drop straight down, or does It slowly drop. Only asking because my friend just got a Titan and his drops down slowly. He said It does that cause it has a torshion bar well ours has that and It Is spring-loaded assisted. What does that mean cause my tailgate drops striaght down with no assist.

ours drop fast, the spring load on ours is for closing the gate...you can close it with a finger, whereas on like the F250 for example, the gate weighs a ton and you use two hands

That spring just takes the weight off the tailgate.

And also the titan tailgate is about the same size as the rangers. So their is no weight behind it...

That would be annoying as he11 -- standing there waiting for your tailgate to lower at its own sweet pace!
