inherited problem?

thats what they told me at my dealer for the 1st -2nd klunk "late" shift on my truck.. it even happens in other gears as well.. i'll coast down to about twenty, then give it gas, i get a delay then clunk like it slams into gear. even going 55, then letting off the gas, slowing a bit then giving it gas, it slams into gear.. .. I was like who was this inhereited from??.. and why would i buy a truck with "inherited problems"?.. .. but that didnt change it.. he also said, oh we have a guy here that has a 94, with the same issues.. i'm like.. geez. . like talkin to a q-tip..

anyone come accross this in their truck?.. i'm going to take it to another dealer, and see if they can help..

any tsb's for this issue?

thanks guys

chris

There is a TSB out for that, BUT the tsb says that this clunk is a "Normal operating characteristic of the vehicle". What a bunch of crap. I have just learned to deal with it.

I was also told it was normal.

I get a "clunk" when the tranny is downshifting from 3rd to 2nd, when turning. The dealership told me because of my driving habits, that I tend to accelerate at the exact moment this is happening and I make it more noticable.

I believe the word is "inherent". It means "Occurring as a natural part or consequence."
