Tonneau cover pics wanted!
Awesome, thanks man. Looks good.
How long does it take to roll that thing back? I'm thinking the 'velcro' would be easier. I like the lo-pro as well. I forget, and now I can't find it, is the Extang Fulltilt lockable with the tailgate like some other soft tonneaus?
I also see you have Ford's drop in bedliner. Did you have to make any mods to that to make the tonneau fit? I have a drop in as well and had always worried about that. The switch to bedrug or a spray in just seems not worth the cash yet.

Why haven't you considered the Truxedo or Access cover for your soft cover option?
Edit: Just saw you have considered it.
I have a series of pics of my Truxedo Lo-Pro in my thread here you can look at: https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=207956
With the tailgate closed and locked, the only way to get into the bed would be for them to cut through the cover. You can't reach the release tab at all with the tailgate up.

I think I want one that tilts up as well, but depending on the looks and ease of use of the snapless I still haven't ruled out the Truxedo or Lorado.
Doesn't take long to roll up, but unsnapping the whole thing would be a lot more work than just removing it altogether.
No mods needed to the drop in liner.
It latches to the bed rails from underneath, so, if the tail was locked, you couldn't open it (unless of course you just unsnapped it and reached in).
Velco would be quicker, but I don't like the way they look, and somehow don't expect velcro to hold-up as long. If you want a snapless look, you could get the "zip-lock" style snapless cover (extang makes both).

I never heard of that before and I've spent some time on their website. All I ever see is a "snapless" design which will cost me an extra 50 or so bucks, but doesn't say how it works. I just assumed velcro because that's what all the other snapless tonneaus have.

Sounds like what I'm talking about. Downside I see to the "zip-lock" track: what if you want to only want to partially un-zip the cover. Can you do that with that style? The snaps are nice cause you can unsnap a corner to let the end of a 2x4 or something stick out with the cover down.
If you want to roll it to take it up steps, you're in trouble. The cover doesn't disconnect from the back of the frame (cab end). So, you could roll it up to that point, but you'd still have an attached 8 foot frame to deal with. I've taken my 6.5 ft cover up to the second floor, and it's not too fun (especially if windy, it's almost yanked me out of the bed when I was standing in it holding the top. Giant kite!)

I don't know about the 'zip-lock' as, like I said, I haven't heard of it (Anyone with a website I can look at?) but with the 'Velcro' you can't (easily) open just a corner but you can open the 30cm or however much you need probably just as easy as un and resnapping a corner. Well it looks like it when this guy does it anyways.
[QUOTE=rta108]As promised...

can you post close up pictures of how yours latches. i just bought one of these and cant get it to latch right. the instructions say that the long part of the latch should be parallel with the bed rail when closed. i cant get mine to turn that far. i even trimmed the bedliner like extang said and i still cant get it to close all the way. here are some pics of my latch...it only closes this far and then it hits the bedrail...

I am ordering an Undercover this week. I see you live in Kamloops Tical, I am in Abbotsford. The price i got a while back from my dealer blew all the canopy shops out of the water. I will let you know if it still holds up.
I have an Extang Tuff tonneau II. It is a soft cover with snap lock edges.
I really like it for flexibility, in warm weather it goes on/off in 5 minutes,
BUT it is a real pain in the **** to get it back on in cold weather. I hauled
a big item for a friend 2 days ago and that everning the temperature dropped into the 50's here in TX.
I had to wait 2 days for the sun to come out and warm that thing up before I could get
it back on. I would not recommend a soft cover for a cool weather climate unless
it rolls itself on/off like the undercover or truxedo soft covers can.
