19.1 Mpg!

It's not a Prius, it's a truck, and I'm happy to report I got 19.1 mpg on a trip from College Station to Albuquerque, New Mexico and back.
This is a personal best for me. I set cruise at 78, with A/C, and the truck is stock. Cant wait to see what the Magnaflow will do for mileage.

Has anyone priced or tried a Fram Airhog? I just cant see spending the dough for an AirForceOne.

19.1 is the best I got on the highway too. And I already have the Magnaflow exhaust and Airaid intake too.

The Fram Air Hog sucks, just buy a drop-in K&N it'll be about $33.

I dont think Ill get one then.
I thought I read somewhere that there was a fit issue with the K&N, like the filter is loose when installed?

I got the K&N and it fit great. My personal best is 22.3 with K&N and exhaust for a local muffler shop.

I cant believe I've had this truck for 16 months and haven't taken it on a road trip yet . We were going to take it on a ski trip last winter but the trip got cancelled. I cant wait to see what kind of milage I'll get on a road trip.

16 mpg because you're going 90 MPH!

New owner here, '05 STX 4.6 4 x 4. My first fill up, got 16.5 with a/c running, about a 65/35 split of highway to city. Second one was 17.7 with the a/c, and about the same split on highway/city. Haven't done an all highway yet, but have hopes of making the 19mpg claim on the sticker.

I know, where's the pictures! Soon, very soon. Picture a stock black STX 4 x4, and you have it.

I get about 17 or so MPG intown and 23 on the highway. I have a 2005 Lariat Crew Cab with the 5.4 which is bone stock. I'm pleased with the results at only 1200 miles.
