I thought I read where sticker prices of some of the 2006 vehicles may be lower so that they don't have to depend as much on incentives. This, if true, will definitely work in your favor.

Question

Guys,

Don't you think that's odd.
The 2006 f150's are out here in Holland for a long time.
Well according to a visitor of my website about Ford Trucks.
He had a lot to critisize and said he couldn't find info on the 2006 models who/which were available for a long time now.
I haven't seen any here on the streets.

Wenn will the 2006 F-150's appear on the streets in the USA?

BTW: Congratulations on your new truck.

erick e, Thanks for letting me know. At least you found out now instead of when you took delivery.

CONGRATS ERIC!!! We're in the same boat. Ford Is also giving me a replacement truck, I'm glad I ordered an 06 since the sticker prices have been lowered. My dealer gave me a price but is unsure if the price has been adjusted or not. I am replacing my Lariat with a King Ranch. you know also we are eligable for any financing incentives offered when our trucks come in!!!
I'm pumped up about the factory Sirius Radio option only $190.00. My FM modulated sounds terriblein my 04.

Have you gotten a build date yet?

No, I don’t have a build date yet. I just got back from the dealer this morning to fix the 20" wheels, and chrome package incompatibility error.
Seeing how VOPC is 2 days behind, I might know something by Friday.

Also, when I originally ordered it last week, I couldn't get a price; I had to add up all the options form the price guide to get an estimate. But today it printed out a price invoice, $41955, so I know exactly how much my truck will cost.

What kind of incentives did they allow you? My paperwork states that I am not allowed any incentives or rebates. I just pay the difference between MSRPs.

When it is all finished I will pay $3220 more for this truck, but added $2220 in options, plus the standard $850 delivery fee, means that this truck will only cost me $150 more than my 04

My dealer reprinted my order confirmation for me yesterday with prices but was unsure if the numbers were correct because ford is supposable repricing all 06's????
I think mine has already been adjusted because the base price shows $39615.00 and if you build an 05 online it shows the base price as $41090.00

We definately lucked out!!!!

My order sheet shows price level 615, What is yours?

My dealer told me I had a build date of week of August 11 Hope I heard him correctly and its not September 11.

Here's to waiting for christmas in September

Talking terms

my offer states:
You are not eligable to recieve any rebates or incentives currently available on the new vehicle. An exception applies to any applicable APR financing announced by Ford Motor Credit Corp. (FMCC) That may be in effect, if credit approved by FMCC.

I had several small problems like the 3rd brake light, inop CD player, slip yoke lubed, rotors turned, rotors replaced, rear end clutch pack replaced and still having the shudder, AC line replaced and AC recharged, new fuel injector and new spark plug, then new engine.

In addition to the small problems, the biggest problem was drivability and confidence. It really ran like a dog, my SEL light always came on. After the fourth trip to the dealer for the SEL light, they wanted to replace the camshaft, which was backordered. When it finally came in they noticed other head problems, so they replaced the entire engine. To top that the day after I pick up my truck from the dealer, my power sliding window went bad.

All this in less than 8 months and 8500 miles, plus some serious issues with the dealer and their "quality" repairs, really led me to have some issues with the confidence of Ford. All in all my truck was in the shop for 54 days in the first 8 months.

Through it all, I have to say that Ford really stands behind their product.

I also read that Ford was lowering prices on some F150s, but not all of them. Probably just the XL and XLT trims.

My order also has a price level of 615, and when I called DORA today I was told that my order is clean and unscheduled.

I am not going to start a VIN check thread and all that chaos. I know exactly how that turned out last year. But, If someone can check 1FTPW************* for me it would be much appreciated. According to VOPC it was supposed to build this week.

I did file a complaint with the BBB, and requested the paperwork for the arbitration process but never had to file it. After talking with my dealer, I was told to keep calling Ford's 1-800 number and request a "requisition form," also known as DRP, formerly the DSB. It took several calls to Ford, before my regional rep called me and offered me a replacement vehicle and told me that the requisition form would not be needed. About two weeks after that phone call I received the paperwork from Ford for my buy back. I about pooped my self. The only thing I had to pay was the difference in MSRP, no mileage, and no tax because I am active duty military stationed in TN. I should get my 06 in about a week or so.
