Do all FX4's have 18"

I was just wondering because my FX4 came with 17" rims stock with General tires.

17s are standard on the FX4. the 18s are an option.

Mine came with 18s and I went back to the 17s. It rides and drives better with the 17s than it did with the 18s. Go figure.

Mine came with 18's also but trust me you dont really want them because it's hard to find tires for them. I just bought a set of factory 17's to put some All terrains on for during the summer.

Mine came with the 17's and General tires too.

I've been looking to get some 18's though, so if anyone wants to trade down their 18's and get my 17's + some cash, let me know

Keep your 17s, more tire options and they're cheaper.

The 18s look so much nicer IMO.

My FX4 came with 18's which is kinda weird. I still have the original window sticker in the glove box. It states the truck has the standard 17's and a single CD player. It actually has the 6 CD in dash changer.

Oh well, as long as I didn't pay for them I'm OK.LOL!

are you sure it doesn't list them on the right side of the window sticker under "optional equipment"?

or did you buy your truck used? The original owner could have added those items then.

I have to agree with Thumper, can't wait to get rid of my XLT 17" grey painted rims.

I have 18's on my Lariat and I would rather have my 17's that I had in my last truck. i don't see what people like about bigger rims, my buddies dodge has 20" rims and he just hates them. The tire size ends up the same outside at around 31-32" with either tire you just have more rim with the 18" and less tire. Not a good move for any offroading. More sidewall is always preferable when going over rough terrain as objects will not hit your rims as easy.

I guess if you buy a Lariat you are not supposed to do any offraoding, oops, nobody told me!

Mine came with the 18s. No tire selection for them. Got some 17s off of Ebay.
