After installing the drivers side handle, the window sounds like it is hitting the keypad harness. Can somebody give me some directions on how to secure the harness or how it should be routed? Sorry for jumping in but it is pertinent to the current discussion and will help others in the install...

Gobra - is it just a noise or is the door lock linkage kind of sticking now as well? I ask because I just finished my door handle replacement and had one of the rods turn around 180 deg from the way it should have been inserted. It will fit backwards and work - and you will not notice the binding until you have the door panel completly reinstalled....drove me nuts until I had to take it all apart again and finally reversed the rod - then all worked well...FOR EVERYONE - BE SURE TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE WAY THE ROD MOUNTS INTO THE HANDLE BEFORE YOU TAKE IT APART!!

To add....the driver's door handle is the trickiest one to replace due to the remote entry pad wiring harness connection. It butts right up to the door on the lower side of the handle bucket.....mine wouldn't budge either until I went in from the inside (panel removed) and popped the plastic tabs holding the harness in place. Once I did that it came out pretty easy! I also found that to reattach the handle to the rod - it is far easier to place the top piece of the handle bucket assembly inside the opening and attach the rod - then twist the handle bucket assembly into place.....much easier than inserting the rod outside and then trying to cram the upper "barrell" looking assembly back into the opening w/o bending the rod itself.

Hope that helps and sorry I don't have pics of that step.

I had the same question - since i had an XLT and it did not come with the keypad stock. I found a hole on the inner body (panel removed - wall closest to cab) that looks like the lower stud of that wire harness would fit. I shove it in there but could not find where the upper stud would go. With the lower one in though, it keeps all the wiring out of the way of the window. I would love to find where the upper one goes or even if i have the right hole for the bottom one so if anyone has pics, that would be great.

I hear the noise when the window gets to 80 % down. i found one place to attach the harness but not the second. The first one is directly under the door handle. Anybody with their door panel off and a camera ready?
