AutoSpring Install in AZ area

Where is a good place to get the autospring spacer installed in the Phoenix, AZ area. One place (Network Alignment & Brakes) quoted me $200 with the alignment, is that good? Thanks for any input!

I don't think that's terrible. I had a place in phoenix quote me $300 for daystar including parts, labor, and alignment but I decided not to do it right now. That place didn't do Autospring. Make sure to post when you get it done, I'd be interested in places in the Phoenix area also.

I already have the autospring, I just need it put in. With the price of the part and $200 for the install it brings it to over $300, but I think I should be able to get it done for less. It's suppose to be a real easy install, I just don't have the tools to do it myself. I'll let you know how it goes.

I'm having my Autospring 2.5" kit installed tomorrow - Its a small shop in Mesa that I've dealt with for years on Mustangs. I'm guessing it will be less than $100 labor plus the alignment.

The only thing that really scares me about doing it myself is that a couple of the torque specs are higher than I could handle with out the right tools, which I don't have. Otherwise I like to do the work myself when I can.

What about Pep boys, autozone loaning out tools? I know in our area they have certain tools you can get from them on a loan out and bring it back when done? Not sure if they would have all that you need but may be worht a shot

Where did you buy it? I know Sunset Ford on W. Bell has leveled trucks. Not sure what kit they use but I'm sure they would tell you who does their work. Also, I've heard that Auto Now (liftedtrucks.com) has good suspension people but I don't have any personal experience with them.

I just had my 2.5" Autospring kit installed yesterday - I got a small discount from my mechanic as we're all part of a Mustang club, but it was one hour labor. I believe his standard labor rate is around $75/hour, but you'd want to call and ask him.

I stood there and watched him do it (about 55 minutes), and was really glad I didn't try it myself. You need a pretty big jack and an impact with some very large metric sockets. It was more difficult than the directions made it seem, but still not very time-consuming with the right tools.

A $50 alignment an now my truck looks the bit!!! If you'd like his name/number, let me know.

I would love to get your guy's number as I want to explore any worthwhile options, and he is the best I've heard of. Thanks!

His name is Steve Jones, and the shop is 1st Performance in Mesa (around Arizona Ave and Broadway). You can reach him at (480)570-8638. Just so you know, this isn't a fancy place with a big waiting area and techs in crisp new uniform shirts. He was a heavy line mechanic for Ford for years and decided to go out on his own, and he has a small, busy shop that is more than adequate to do just about anything.

His is very honest, reasonable, and will make sure you're happy before he's done. Tell him Jeff Knighton sent you, and that you're looking to get done what he did to my truck this week.
