CCLA,

When you bought the console from from ebay, did you pay with a credit card? I am only asking because He is willing to sell directly taking a card over the phone. Just wondering if he is trustworthy in your opinon.

Also if you don't mind my asking, how much does it cost add the parts needed to install the console?

Thanks

While I used Pay-Pal Thats the same guy that I bought mine from. And i think he's sold like 10-15 others so far. It came shipped, boxed, and just as described. I wouldnt hesitate buying another from him. Just My .02

I probably spent about another 50-60 bucks so far on all the other parts with shipping.

Can you still open the cup holders on the front of your dash?

ccla, Are the brackets to attach #11 and #12 on the parts finder? Also, do they go into the existing holes that are there for the center 20% seat or did you have to drill new holes?

I dont know what you're asking in the first part. but they are listed on that page I linked earlier. You just click the part and then add to cart ( Hey thats rhmyes) Now I did have to buy some bolts/fasteners from the dealership to mount the console to the bracket.

On the second part, yes the holes are already there.

It's hard to tell in those pics....did you have the split bench seat and just remove part of it???? I really like that console alot better than the fold up one in mine.

Yes i had the 40/20/40 split bench with the fold up console/middle seat. I took out the middle seat and put this in its place.

I am thinking about cutting it down to size like the XLT version. I dont want it to go all the way to the dash, plus I don't have a good solution for the shifter slot. Has anyone ever tried this? I can cut it, looks like they sell the front piece that the xlt console has.

The Part #10 at the front probably does not come with the console because it is not attached to the console in the Lariat and FX4. It is part of the dash. Here is a picture of the interior of my truck.

See how it is wider than the console at the point where the console meets that part?

The XLT console is shorter than the lariat version. So if I can cut it to the same lenght, perhaps with a little skill I can fit the front part on. If not, I'm only out $45.00. Or I could leave it the lenght and use something else to cover the missing part.

Or maybe I will buy it and end up doing nothing, ever...lol

I think this right here might be the answer to those that dont like the full console idea this looks like its the addons for the shorter style. Not sure but it probably all goes together the same way.

Fixed the link I think.

Scratch this idea I just looked closer and this console is MUCH shorter than the one on ebay.

/me is a post *****
