thinking about installing some hella 550 driving lights in that open space on the bottom of the metel bumper, looks like they would fit almost perfect in there and give alot more light output on those dark roads, think they would look good under there or no?

I have Hella 550's (with 130 watt bulbs) on mine, but they're behind the grill. (Pictures in my gallery.) With true driving lights, a bit higher off the ground is better. Fog lights on the other hand should be lower. I have mine wired in with a relay to my high beams and it makes a huge difference. Another consideration with driving lights is rigid mounting. Due to the distance they illuminate, any movement (vibration) at the point of mounting really shows up down the road. By the way, the whole mounting system for mine was built in my basement with 1/4" x 1" aluminum flat stock. It's rigid as hell.
