Airbag Reset Switch?

Does anyone know if there is an airbag light reset switch or something like that? I replaced the airbag on my 04 f150, but the light is still on. Any Ideas?

The salvage truck? I never saw how badly it was hit, but if it was hit hard enough to deploy an airbag, there should be a B1318 DTC stored in the restraint control module, indicating "crash memory full." You need to replace the RCM and all the crash sensors, maybe the seatbelt pre-tensioners if they were applied as well.

What quinton said but also something you may over look is if the "airbag off" light over the radio is unplugged the airbag light on the dash will stay on too.

I hadn't thought about the passenger's side airbag indicator, that'd do it too. Also be advised, I'm not sure, but the new RCM may require programming with a Ford scan tool.

It blinks like 4 times. Any idea what that means. Yep, this was the salvage truck. It took a really hard left front hit. Only hte driver airbag deployed though. I re-installed the driver airbag and the front sensors.

How would I check/clear the code in the RCM? I can't do that through a ODBII tool right?

You'll need a CAN compatible scan tool to retrieve DTCs from the RCM. Anytime an airbag is deployed, all the crash sensors, the airbag(s) and the RCM must be replaced. The RCM has an arming sensor in it which is one half of what's required to deploy an airbag; these are one time use only, ain't no resetting. Plus, the RCM stores some crash data when the airbags were deployed. This is the "crash memory full" thing.

Also, would anyone have a part number for this. I just called my Ford parts place, and they weren't able to find this part in the system. HUH

The RCM is located under the 20% portion of the front seat, in the center. Silver colored module, has two connectors with locks on them. Label should have an arrow on it pointing forward. Base part number for the RCM is 14B321.

I'm either getting a 14 or 15 code from the airbag flashing. Can't remember which one. Can you tell me what those mean? Thanks

15 doesn't appear to be a valid code. 14 is an open in the RCM ground circuit. You should see 13 and a B1231 if you retrieve DTCs with a scan tool.
