The smallest OEM wheel on 04-05 F-150's is 17x7.5 inches. You cannot go with anything smaller than a 17 because it won't fit over the brakes. In fact, Ford changed the brake calipers on the 05's and some aftermarket 17's won't fit.

I have on my truck a set of 235/70/17 wheels that are machined aluminium... If im not mistaking, they are the lightest....
I also have a brand new set of Lariet wheels with 265/60/18 on them in the garage.. They are noticably heavier per wheel and tire... I am trying to sell the 17" wheels and tires right now locally for $300.
