What RPM for 1-2 shift
What RPM does your truck shift from 1st to 2nd? Mine shifts when the tach reads about 4600RPM would seems kinda silly since the HP peak doesn't come until 5000RPM.
Shift scheduling is dependent on load. Obviously the PCM is gonna hold 1st longer under WOT than light acceleration. Since I've been driving to maximize fuel economy as of late, I accelerate real easy, so my 1-2 shift is probably somewhere around 15 mph and maybe 2000 rpm. Don't remember exactly.

If you want to hit 5000 rpm you will need a tuner.
With my X-Calibrator2 at WOT my 1-2 upshift is 5400 rpm, and my 2-3 is 5150 rpm..

For one thing the higher you shift at the more rpm you will be getting as soon as you are in 2nd gear. I noticed a big difference with that. Also, If the max horsepower is attained and advertised at 5000 rpm, why give me a truck that shifts at 4600?
Horsepower isn't like speed. All trucks tell you the horsepower, they don't tell you your max speed. It's not like I am a speed freak (well maybe), I just like accelerating fast, My T-Cat goes 0-60 mph in just under 3 seconds, now that's fast.
