Engine Oil Filter Relocation

I didn't find any threads on this, which is surprising. I changed my oil for the 1st time on this truck the other day, and was disappointed with how hard it is to get to. My 01 Lightning was much easier to change the filter.

Anyway, I thought that this might be a prime candidate for an oil filter relocation kit. I'm pretty sure some of you out there thought the same. Can you tell me where the best location, you found, is? Pics would be nice.

Thanks

personally i found it pretty easy to get at.... but I was thinking of doing a relocation kit as well just to its mounted perfectly vertical and has next to zero spill. The only thing I hate about the relocation kits is the crappy cast peice that bolts onto the engine. My buddy makes beautiful billet adaptors. I am going to talk to him about makeing me one for my truck. I then use the Amsoil relocation kit.

Every time I change oil on the '04 I long for the OEM filter location of my '97 F150 which was in the driver's side wheel well-between the fender liner and bumper. No need to get under the truck and easily visible. Draining the oil was expedited by use of the externally mounted pre-lube oil pump activated by the ignition switch. I just reached behind the bumper, disconnected the quick-connect joint, stuck the hose end into a 5 gallon container, and hit the switch. An oil and filter change took about 5 minutes with no mess or fuss. Ah! The good ol' days.

Just got back from my buddys house. I have a billet aluminum amsoil filter relocation head on order now and also the billet stainless adaptor he made me from my 5.0 explorer will work on my new truck. I was going to have him make a new one until i found out they were both 22mm... got to go dig that out. Ill post pics when it comes together.

I thought of putting one of these on my truck too. but I was wandering if there was any oil supply issues especially at start up caused by these?
