thats it, look for a five digit code I believe. It is also on a white sticker on the right front door jamb. White sticker with a alpha numeric code and a bar code on it.

Yes. It should be 3 letters and 1 number. like EAY2, MHE1 etc.

ok- my computer code says EAY2-

but when i had the engine replaced they reflashed the computer..... I have read on this board that once the computer is reflashed it has a new code and the dealer is supposed to post it under the hood?? were do they put it or do they put it over the original?? How can i tell if its the original sticker or not?

thanks

Check the passenger & driver door jambs, or under hood for an added on "tear-tag" that will have a part number on it. This will be the info that can be x-referenced to determine the new computer code.

This is what the “Authorized Modification” sticker looks like but chances are the dealer won’t put one on unless you specifically ask for it. The new code won’t be in the typical form of 4 letters followed by 1 number but this new number can be cross-referenced to figure out what the new code is.
