Hey All,

Best thing to do is change the axle gears to 4.11's or 4.56's. Nothing else will be as close/work as well.

Chris do you just have the front leveler with those 35's? Any rub?

I went with the 40 series Flowmaster, Airaid Intake system, and X-calibrator.
It really zips around pushing 35/13.50's.

ON the topic of gears, can anyone tell me what the differential sizes are in the 4x4's?

the best way is to crawl under your truck (should be easy) and look at the metal tag attached to the rear diff. There are some numbers like LS 373 and 9 75 which means: Limited slip 3.73:1 with a 9.75 rear end (12 bolt). If you have 35s I would highly recommend new gears, your drivetrain will love you for them And you will be glad you did!

The awnser isnt more power, its more gear. 4.56's would be prime.

you say it's an fx4, so you have 9.75" rear end. Front differential is reverse cut 8.8"

like others have said, gears will be best for performance, and best for your truck's longevity.

Thanks for all the suggestions, i'll look into changing out the gears next. depending on cost, i'll also be looking into intake and exhaust. Sorry about the sig, should be there now.

Yes i just have the leveling kit and yes, with 35's there is slight rubbing on the passenger side while turning right on an incline. Looks like i'll have to cut the fender slightly to resolve that, no big deal imo.

thanks again,

CT...
I'm in the same boat as you, running 35s with only a leveling kit. It happened by accident, but I'm keeping them as is. Instead of cutting the wheel well, try drilling two small holes in the well line, and using a zip tie to pull it back. I did the same thing on both sides, and now the only rubbing I get is from full lock in either direction. It's a lot better than cutting into the truck....
By the way, I've got a shop lined up to do my 4.56 gears in three weeks. I would have had it in within a week, but their supplier ran short on the reverse gears for the front diff...
