New 35's, now I need some POWER
Hey All,
Just put 35's on my 04 FX4 (gallery in sig) and now its gutless! Can anyone send me a few links to threads or some suggestions for performance mods that will compensate for power and maybe help milage?

the best way is to crawl under your truck (should be easy) and look at the metal tag attached to the rear diff. There are some numbers like LS 373 and 9 75 which means: Limited slip 3.73:1 with a 9.75 rear end (12 bolt). If you have 35s I would highly recommend new gears, your drivetrain will love you for them
And you will be glad you did!

Thanks for all the suggestions, i'll look into changing out the gears next. depending on cost, i'll also be looking into intake and exhaust. Sorry about the sig, should be there now.
Yes i just have the leveling kit and yes, with 35's there is slight rubbing on the passenger side while turning right on an incline. Looks like i'll have to cut the fender slightly to resolve that, no big deal imo.
thanks again,

I'm in the same boat as you, running 35s with only a leveling kit. It happened by accident, but I'm keeping them as is. Instead of cutting the wheel well, try drilling two small holes in the well line, and using a zip tie to pull it back. I did the same thing on both sides, and now the only rubbing I get is from full lock in either direction. It's a lot better than cutting into the truck....
By the way, I've got a shop lined up to do my 4.56 gears in three weeks. I would have had it in within a week, but their supplier ran short on the reverse gears for the front diff...
