Camstyn purchased a 2004-5 F-150 and is telling us about his purchase, so therefore its the right forum because it has to do with a 2004-5 F-150. Amateurs..

Well I got it home Saturday night, 39 hours and 1600 miles later. I'll get pics tomorrow, I haven't taken it in to my dealer yet but they are going to detail it properly for me. So far I really like it, it's more comfortable to drive than my Chevy ever was, and I love how quiet the interior is, even with the windows down at 75mph! My Chevy created at least twice as much wind noise.

My build date is 06/05, does anyone know if it would have the most current ECM reflash?

My overall impressions so far are the suspension is excellent, I love the ride.. The engine is doing well too although I'm used to having more power. It feels like a heavy truck which isn't a bad thing. No wonder, I stopped at a scale and it was 5500lbs full of fuel without me in it.

On my first tank of fuel I varied my speed between 70 and 75mph for the first few hours, then settled in at 50-55mph for an hour, and then used cruise control at ~60mph for the rest of the tank. I got 18mpg (US gallons, 22mpg imperial)! I was very happy to see this.. I look forward to seeing what it's capable of after it's broken in and I'm on lower speed roads (I rarely travel on roads where the speed limit exceeds 62mph)

My first mods will be a 1.5 or 2" front end levelling kit and some 33" tires. It just sits way too low at the front compared to my old truck, which was lifted with 35's. I don't want to go as tall as last time but I want it a bit taller than stock.

Pics to come tomorrow!

Yeah that is really close to me, I live in the west end. Do you have family here or you just didnt want to have to pay the P.S.T.

No I bought it from my local dealer.. This particular truck just happened to be the most ideally spec'ed one left for me and I told them I would go get it myself rather than pay to have it delivered.

Man you could have saved alot of money if you just bought it here, you would have avoided the provincial sales tax. I have a couple of brothers that live in Vancouver and thats what they do.

Yes but you have to pay it once you register it in BC. They must have paid it unless they've got Alberta plates on them and if they do, they better hope they don't need to file a claim.

I had a trade-in and my PST only amounted to $320 anyways so no worries.

Congrats on the new truck. I'm new here as well and just bought a Lariat with all the bla bla on it. It's a nice truck and much bigger than my 95 F150.

Always nice to welcome a fellow Canadian! I wish I could buy an 8' box, I sure miss my 8' box.

Those are LT245 tires? I didn't have that for an option on my lariat, they were goodyear LT275
