OEM power signal mirrors

I did a search on this, but did not come up with anything conclusive on this.

Some idiot broke off my drivers side mirror. I need to replace it, what I need to know is, if I buy the oem power signal mirrors will they just plug in and work, or will I have to wire them so that the signals will work???
Would like to know if anyone has done this.

You want to upgrade your mirrors. But from what? Do you have manual mirrors? Do you have Power mirrors? Do you have heated power mirrors? Which truck do you have?
I am sure there is no harness in the XL or STX for turn as there are no harness for power mirrors in these trucks.
If you have the power mirrors, and have the switch and all you want is to add the mirror flasher I think you will still have to add a more to the harness.

How about more details?
Chris

If you have power mirrors the harnass is there, I added ttt Mirrors to my 04 fx4 the new mirrors are heated the old one where not, but the heat on the new mirrors works, so if you have power mirrors already there is a good possibility the oem turns will work.. Call your dealer they should know

How did you get the heat to work on the new mirrors you installed, did you have to add a switch or something?

When they where installed the dealer said they where heated, but being my OEM's where not the heated part wouldn't work, well the new mirror also have clearance lights but where not hooked up, so I was reading through the directions on the clearance lights and they said to check the heated side turn on the rear window defrosted and wait for them to get warm, I did they got warm. So the OEM harness was pre wired for this option.

So when you turn the defrost on, the mirrors heat up?
