Window Control Lights

Hi,

Does anybody know if the lights in the power window control are replacable?

I removed the control and took it as far apart as I could without breaking it, botton cover off but I could not figure out how to get the cover under the switches off.

The DS Autodown light is out. Double Arrows.

Thanks

Michael

As far as I know you can't. The switches are lit by LED's, so when they burn out you replace the whole piece.

same problem

Interesting, I noticed the same thing on mine last night. I was going to post a message to see if someone could check their buttons and see if that Driver's/autodown button is supposed to be lit up.

Also, is the window-lock button supposed to be lit up? Mine is not.

Thanks - Lowell

There was another thread about this recently, and I believe someone said that the window lock/unlock switch does not have any LED's.
My driver window switch has lost it's illumination as well. I will be taking my truck to the stealership next week for this and my A/C. My warranty will expire late next week due to mileage.

I think right now, My whole driver window switch, and the up for front passenger window is out on my driver door. Sucks that my warranty is up! Guess I'll live with it.

that's weird... my driver's side switch goes off an on from time to time. I have 04 FX4. This might be more than just coincidence, someone needs to get to bottom of this phenomenon.

Does anyone know how the 'recall' process works with manufactures? I would think that if all the same trucks have the same problem e.i. the window switch lights going out, then they would realize....we did something wrong...and would issue a recall to replace these for everyone. Wait that would make them nice and not stealerships!!!
