Need advice (lift)

called 4 wheel parts and they quoted me for the fabtech 6" kit $1793 w/o coilovers and $2500 with coilovers plus $575 for the install and alignment. the pro comp kit was $1495 w/o coilovers and $2292 with coilovers plus same install price. so my question is....which kit would you go with and why? also, would you go with coilovers and why? is it worth the extra money?? thanks in advance for your answers.

<---can only vouch for the procomp (with coilovers) cause that's the one i chose to go with. coilovers are def. worth the extra money. the non-coilover system just uses a top (hat) cap that doesn't seem to hold up (i've seen pictures that people have posted from here & it wasn't pretty) but, i can say that my ride is still fantastic.

hope this helps. i'm sure if you go with procomp or with fabtech you'll be happy.

id go with the fabtech kit, If you have the money do coilover's.

Try getting the kit from 4wheelonline.com you will say yourself a couple hundred bucks, then just go to a local shop to get it installed.

Or ask 4wheelparts to price match 4wheelonline (they usally will.)

I was in your same boat, I just couldnt deside what lift to get. If I had to pick between those two I would go with the Fabtech kit coilover or not. It uses new front shocks (noncoilover kit) instead of that hat thing and an arched subframe. You do need to do driveshaft modifications with the Fabtech kit which is what turned me away. I personally went for the Rancho 4" kit with RS9000X shocks since ride quality is very important to me (on and offroad) and I've heard mixed feelings about the Fabtech shocks. Plus its the best looking kit in my opinion. Hope that helps

What size tires are you running on with the Rancho 4"? I have a daystar and 35"s on and I'm still trying to decide which kit. Is the Rancho 4" pretty much the same as the other 6" kits?
Thanks. Do you have any pics ?

HAHA ok first off you don't need a new driveshaft, a shop needs to rebalance your stock one. It's in the instructions off the Fabtech website, you should check it out.

Second my Rancho kit is still on its way, it should be in either Monday or Tuesday. I will be sure and keep you updated and I'm also going to run 35s.

The drive shaft needs to be modified, The teeth need to be trimmed some, this is for angle alignment and then it has to be rebalanced. A local drive shaft shop hooked me up for $70. and some beer.

Go with Fabtech
