Warranty Void?

Hi everyone,
I just got a F150 Lariat 4x4 and I was wondering what I can do to my truck without getting my warranty voided. I eventually want to take it out into the dunes and so on. So I was planning on investing some more money into it so I can go out and have fun. Also I wanted to upgrade my exhaust. Thanks any help will be useful.

There’s no simple cut-and-dried answer to your question. Most bolt on mods won’t affect warranty, but could. It all boils down to your dealership and their willingness to do warranty work for YOU; a good working relationship with your service department is crucial

Only thing I'd worry bout is a chip or tuner. You will need to reset your computer if you install a chip or tuner. I didn't do this and the dealer busted me on it. Didn't try to void me or anything but said there were "altered codes" so they will know if you don't reset. As stated above, it depends on the dealer. A lot of them will try to get out of servicing your vehicle under warranty if they can. Try to find a "Five Star" dealer. They are rated Five Star for excellent customer service and will go the extra mile for you. The one I go to is great. I had a headlight go out and needed a new bulb. I didn't know it was just a five minute install if that and was prepared to pay. Service guy said bout $60 for the bulb and install. I was ready to pay since I read they were a pita to adjust, I figure the install was a pita too. Service guy says pop the hood and he looked at the light took it out and told me to go to parts to buy the new one and he'd put it in. Did it right in the service driveway.
