Another tire question...

Hello all. First post here.

I have an 04 F150 (4x2) STX with stock 17" rims with 255 65 r17 tires. I have added factory mud guards and an autospring leveling kit.

I was set on getting a pair of 285 70 R17 Toyo Open Country A/T's but I saw a few people around here talking about 295 70 R17 Nitto Terra Grapplers.

Will both of these work on stock rims? Id like to go with the wider Nittos if they will work. What is the decent price per tire for each and where in the heck can I find them?

Thanks.

The 295/70-17 Terra Grapplers work great with the stock rims and a leveling kit.

Just a little side note.... I work at discount tire and was actually hoping to get the nittos to because they are quite a bit cheaper than the bfgs but that size is on back order for basically all of texas and alot of the nation. Actually in our "region" as soon as we get a shipment of 100 tires late this month they have already been sold. Im not sure if its the same way though for all the other big tire chains like NTB. Anyways you can check online at the discounttire.com to see if a store in your area has them in stock. Oh yeah and a good price for them would be maybe a little under $150 a tire.

Thanks guys. Red Wing, I saw your F150 and loved the Nittos. I just wondered if your 4x4 would have better clearance. I guess it doesnt matter since I have a leveling kit.

I missed the part where you said yours was a 4x2. Oops!
