White W/Black Tails

I just got my new black tail lights from eBay today. Here they are on the Oxford white:

I had to trim some off the inner sheet metal on the passenger side to make the connection slide in. It went in fine on the driver side. FYI don't forget that on some after market tail lights, the back-up and stop lights are reversed. That means you have to move the top plug to the bottom and vice-versa. Other wise the back-up will be red and the brake will be white. I also got some new 4" Magnaflow tips welded on the stock pipe. I already have an exhaust cutout so I figured I'd spice up the stock looking tip.

Define trim. Seriously, I'm wondering what it took to get them to fit. Close up pics ... showing how they look, etc. ... well ... up close. I'm wanting to see how much they do/don't stick out, etc.

By trim I just had to use a dremel tool to cut away a small section inside the bed where the taillight sets. There are 2 small square cut outs that allow the plugs to rest inside, you'll see what I mean when you remove the taillight, and on the passenger side for some reason the plug was hitting the bottom square cut out at the top, so I just trimmed about an inch off of it. Very simple. Here are some close ups of the lights:

You should get some silcone or something to seal the outside edge around the rear perimeter of the lights A.S.A.P. as they will get full of dust and dirt and moisture. Thats why i returned mine, i figured if i had to mod a mod it wasnt worth the money or the effort.

They are the nicest taillights out there for our trucks right now. Im still hoping APC will make some for our trucks soon.

I did those in the gunmetal finish and took them off and sent them back for the reasons mentioned above. The pics are still in my gallery though if you want a decent idea how the look on a black truck.
