Rancho lift Question

Need some help form those who own the Rancho lifts. I like some Weld wheels with backspacing options of 6.32 or 4.5. I don't want teh wheels sticking way out of the fenders. Rancho's site says don't go over 6. I'll call Rancho, but with full 35s, will the 6.32 be too much backspacing? My concern is that 6.32 may cause rubbing inside and te h4.5 will stick out too much, cause bumpsteer, etc. Thanks

How wide are the Weld's you are considering? If they are 10 inches wide, 4.5 inches of backspacing will make them stick way outside the fenderwells. Also, do you know if the Rancho lift increases the front track width like the Pro Comp and Fabtech lifts?

I have 20x8.5 with 6.5 inches of backspacing and the tires rub a little bit on full lock. I also have 37x13.50s if you go a little less on the tire width than mine they *may* not rub. Just a thought.

The Weld's I want are 20 x 8.5. I want ot run 35 x 12.5 inch tires. Not sure if the Rancho kicks the track width out. Sal, I like the Foose you are running too. No site has the specs as far as I could see. Is 6 in the only backspacing option on those 20 x 8.5? Thanks guys.

I am pretty sure that ProComp is specifically designed not to widen the front track. Check out their website.

Yes, those are the only specs (6.5" BS) for their 20" wheel on a 6x135mm... you can always go to MHT alloys website I think they have the specs on there as well. Not sure how much the track width is kicked out. Email or call Rancho, they are very helpful.

The information I got on the Fabtech and Pro Comp lift widening the track width came from magazine articles. The Pro Comp article was in 4Wheel Parts own magazine. I've seen some Pro Comp adds where they brag about not widening the track width on Chevys.

I don't see how widening the track width makes a difference. If it were such a big deal Rancho and Fabtech would not widen their kits, just my opinion.

I think you can get away with 6.32" BS but 4.5 will stick out...Alot (on any lift kit brand).

Widening the track will make a difference in tire fitment because the front wheels will be pushed out more. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, it will just affect tire fitment.
