Where are Xtravisions?

After calling 7 stores, 3 different companys and 2 walmarts I can not find silvaynia silverstar xtravision bulbs anywhere. Their website says it is part number 9008 as do alot of people posting on here but 2 of the stores I called said they had never heard of it and insisted I needed a 9007. Do I have the wrong part or is their somewhere to buy these online? BTW Im in Florida if that would have anythign to do with it.

The Xtravisions are not silverstars. Also you need to look for H13 rather than 9008. I think the 9008 was going to be the original designation, but Sylvania marketed it as H13 instead. I have found Xtravision H13 at Pep boys on the shelf. Advance and Autozone, you will have to order as I have never seen them carry it in stock. Wally's worls doesn't have a big enough selection. I don't think they even carry Xtravisions at all, at least not the one near me.
Just look for H13.

Edit - I should have mentioned that I did find the Xtravisions an improvement over OE. Not drastic, but enough to tell they are an improvement and IMHO worth the money.

What he said...

Xtravisions are one 'style' or 'model' of bulb offered by Sylvania. Silverstars are another 'model'. They are not one in the same...

They, currently (and from what we were told, never will) do not make Silverstars in an H13 configuration due to NHTSB regulations.

The fog is 9145. I don't know if a 9007 will work, but a 9005 will. The tabs will have to be modified.
My understanding from the Sylvania website is that they are coming out with a 9145 Silverstar. Not sure when. These naturally would require no mods to use.

For the fogs from what I can tell we are all running the 9005 silverstar bulbs. I know that is what I have in there.

I am using just normal sylvania 9005 in my fogs and it is just insane how well they work. I think they are acutally brighter than my headlights!

The 9007 Silverstar is a dual filament (high and low beam) bulb. The 9005 is a single filament bulb. You only need one filament in your fogs, hence the 9005 is the more correct bulb.

Did you have to mod them at all to get them to fit? How hard is the installation?

9007 shouldnt even fit at all. Its a dual filament bulb with a completly different base than 9005/9006. The latter will fit in the fog lamps.

Last night I got to thinking, not only is the 9007 dual filament, it has a completely different connector - as well as the different base design HIDPLANET mentioned. There's no way it will fit - without a hammer.
