Pisc of FX4 with Skyjacker 3" and 35s'
looks great, why did you decide to take the step bars, or nerf bars off ? just to give it the extra height look or did the truck not originally have them ? it looks alot bigger without the steps i'll say that.
I'm just curious about a spindle lift for our new bods. I haven't heard anyone say if there is one available yet. Anyone have comments about that? Or suggestions on whether or not to wait? Thanks!!!
Hate to jump on the band wagon...oh well--Wowak, send my thanks and appreciation to all the guys in your unit. I have some dogs in the core and some family in the army. We all owe much to each of you. Come home safe!
edit: Can't type for ***** today

Measurements
I know you guys have been waiting for those measurements. I have been all over the country lately and haven't been bugging my dad to do it so he forgot about it. He assures me he will do it Saturday and let me know. Barring anything crazy happening here in Iraq, I should get them posted for you.
Sorry for the wait.

I hope all has been well for you and your buddies over in the sandbox.
I was wondering if you had gotten back stateside and had any feedback on the skyjacker lift? Mostly I was curious about how it performed off-road and if the susp loosened up any since your initial feedback from your father. This might be the suspension I'll go with mostly because I like to run the smallest lift I can for the tire size I plan to mount, in this case 35's.
Would appreciate any updates you may have..
thx

I did make it home, but I am now back in Iraq doing another job.
As for the truck. It definitely is a lot stiffer than stock. It is my no means abusive, simply firmer. There is some slight rubbing (on the plastic inner fender) with the wheel turned all the way to the left. It is no big deal and is causing no trouble. High speed off road driving is much more controlled than stock although there is a loss of articulation do to the reduction in clearance. 33's would be a wise choice if you are into rock crawling. If not, the 35s work great.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with the lift and would do it again without reservation. If you have any specific questions, let me know.

Wowak,
How much stiffer would you say it was if you had to measure it on a level of 1-5 with 5 being the highest. I am looking at that lift with 33" so the rubbing issue would not be bad. I was thinking of looking for a block in the rear rather than the add a leaf. The block should keep the rear from being stiffer. Any info. you could provide would help. I know you say you would do it again and I guess the good side is it is all bolt on so if for some reason I do not like it I guess I could always sale it and go for a levling kit. Like the Rancho but for the amount of off roading I would do price vs function the 3" may be the best.
