Magnaflow Question/Problems with Truck/ Moving from 04-05 F150

I am looking at trading my 04 F150 in for an 05 F150 (see below for problems and why i want to trade)

I currently have the SIDO 15834 exhaust on my 04, and Really want to keep it. Their site shows this to only fit the 04. Does anyone know why it would not fit on an 05? What problems i would run into installing it on the 05?

I have had my 04 truck since 4/23/04 and the problems i have had are listed below:

I am on my Third Transmission
Throttle Body Replaced
Driveshaft Replaced
U Joints replaced
Heater Blower Motor Replaced
Chrome Factory Step Sides replaced
4x4 stickers replaced (peeling)
New Rim (front passenger) replaced
Sensors in brake system replaced (due to brakes going to floor)
Body work done on Tailgate Hinge brackets due to tailgate falling off
Very little Vibe @ 70MPH

I now have 23,000 miles on the truck and want to get rid of it before my factory warranty is up. I know i could go through 1 more tranmission and file for Lemon Law...but it sounds like a PITA to go through.

Instead, i am thinking of selling this and getting the following
05 F150 SuperCab FX4 6.5'
Trailer/Tow
Deluxe Mirror Package
3.55 Limited Slip
Black Clearcoat W Dark Shadow Two-Tone
Power Driver Seat
35.7 Gal fuel tank
Power MoonRoof
Power Sliding rear window W Privacy Tint
Bright Polished Running Boards.

MSRP = 37270.00
Invoice = 32,735

Right now Incentives in my region are:
500.00 Home Depot (cash paid to dealer)
1000.00 Ford Motor Credit (will refinance W credit union after 2mths)
1000.00 FX4 Discount
3000.00 Ford Customer Cash
500.00 AQHA discount

Total rebates $6,000.

Because of my problems, and FORD customer service being total ****** to me, and not helping me in any way, they would sell any new vehicle to me at invoice plus rebates. I know i know, invoice isn't that great...

So:
$32,735 Total Cost
- 6,000 rebate
= 26,735.00
+ 1804.62 (6.75% tax)
+ 50.00 (Document Admin Fee)
+ 415.75 License and Fee
= 29005.37 Total after all said and done

(if my calculations are correct.)

I need to transfer from my 04 to the 05 if i get it:

Cd player
Subs
Amp
Westin Bull Bar
KC Daylighter lights
Dual Exhaust (if it will work - see above)
Airaid Intake
33" BFGoodrich Rubber
and install a new Daystar level kit.

I am hoping to get the stealership to install a new daystar & Re-align the wheels, Mount/Balance the BFGoodrich's free as well.

Sounds like a PITA, but could make me happy, and feel more comfortable driving the truck problem free.

What do you guys think? Do you think i am going about it the right way, anything you think i am missing that i should do to help in pricing, or move this along any smoother/faster?

The only difference between the early '04 and later '04-'05 Magnaflow SIDO exhaust is a slight alteration in the shape of the intermediate pipe (use SEARCH to find photos). I suspect any aftermarket shop could fashion a new pipe or contact Mag. for a suitable intermediate conversion pipe.

My .02 cents: If y'all can milk the dealer for the deal ya described, gopher it.
Invoice isn't the ultimate low, but it's FAIR and lower than many naive folks pay...don't knock it. Think of all the 'innocents' who brag about a small discount from sticker+additional dealer markup...OUCH!

I had this problem. My late '04 had an '05 exhaust, and I ordered the 15834 exhaust. All I had to do was cut about 6 inches off the intermediate pipe, the stock one connecting to the converter. The exhaust fit perfect. No problems. All you would need to do is cut that pipe, and all will be well.

I know a good friend that works at a muffler shop. As long as it can be modified to fit, i can get it done. Just didn't want to make a fool of myself bringing it in, and having him say there is no way in heck it is going to work.
