Anyone having problems detailing their interior???

Hey everyone

I noticed that the interior in the new FX4's is a pain to clean. The grey seats get water spots that are extremely noticeable and the black "cracked style" dash and doors are a pain. I have noticed that when i get rain on the inside (when the window is cracked or whatever)...that the water marks are a pain to get rid of.... Does anyone else have problems in dealing with cleaning their interior? Any comments would be great.

yeah, and the slick parts of the dash do not accept armor all very well either, makes them look bad with streaks.

I use a home steam cleaner, only thing that works well on the light gray seats. Also helps the light gray carpet. I don't put armorall etc. on my dash, just clean it with mild detergent and soft towel, still looks new.

nice semi-damp terry cloth gets rid of the water spots and dust.

I too would avoid the shiny coatings. These dashes put off enough glare as it is.

I read on this forum in the message about the McStain about Blue Magic cleaner...found it at Wal-Mart...used it on my McStains...now have a clean console! I've used two other products and the stains wouldn't budge, Blue Magic took it right out, didn't even need much elbow grease. Much thanks to those for the McTip.

I'll second that about the Blue Magic. I read about it in the same McPost you did. It works great. My wife says I have officially crossed into being **** about this truck. I use a make up brush to clean the dust out of the cracks and crevaces from around the ***** and buttons on the dash .

I"ve noticed that the water spots are not really water spots, but really just clean spots. I have black interior and the dust settles on it, and when it gets wet it washes it away. I usually just vacum the area to remove all the dust and it looks fine afterwards.

I'd be more worried about large spots of "blush" in the cracks and crevices.
Wouldn't look right without mascara.

I use my toothbrush...a bit crunchy when it's time to brush my toofers, but at least I know it's clean when I dust the dash.

Well, I'm probably going to regret admitting this on here, but here goes. I bought the make up brush just for cleaning the interior, so it's my make up brush. DOH! That hurt to say (type) out loud.

That’s OK dear, we are not judgmental here.
