you get runned over

What does runned over mean?

Yeah, that click fuller, didn't he star in a western in the 60's?

English, you got's to love it.

As to getting runned over, yeah, try to hold 55 on the 15 South down the Cajon pass. Or on the 14 North out of the valley. Nothing like a shinny KW grill two feet off your butt, with airhorns blasting to give you the 'need for speed'.

I swear something must be wrong with my truck. I see guys getting crazy mileage out of their trucks and the best I have ever seen out of mine is 16.8 highway and 14.5 city. I usually get around 13.5 city, but then again I don't baby it either. Oh well, I knew this when I got it so no big deal. I still love it and the beater I have my POS Kia gets 35mpg....which I use for work.

My 2004 supercrew FX4 4 X 4 with 5.4 and 3.73 gears gets twelve MPG in town empty and fifteen MPG towing my trailer with my electra glide and my brother in laws Honda on it. This last trip was run at mostly 65 MPH. Loaded trailer weighs 2600 pounds.

Oh and for some reason I can never fill up ANY after it clicks. The first time I ever filled up my truck, I ran it till it cut off, went back to the pump to click a few more times like I do every other car and it ran over the side as soon as it started....so I didn't click it for a good while and the other day I thought, "eh I'll give this a try again", so I tried to click it after it cut off and it ran over the side again. Maybe this is a characteristic of the larger tank??
big tank too, click means full as well- hey on over fill on you guys, mine spills out under the truck, and not the side- seem to be drain holes in the filler port area, overflow comes up, catches in the basin, and drains out - keeping my sides squeaky clean!

my gas mileage is about the same as rlast1 I have never gotten better than 16. maybe its the quality of gas I use. I usually always use chevron. I always understood it to be one of the better quality gases available. maybe I need to try something else. or maybe I need to take it to my dealer to have it checked out to see if maybe something like a reflash of the pcm or something can fix it. It just dont make any sence to me that someone with almost the exact truck as me can be getting so much better gas mileage.

Driving habits have a tremendous impact on fuel mileage. Calculating with pen and paper and using the trip meter in my truck, if I slow down 5 mph on my daily commute that's mostly highway, I pick up anywhere from 3-4 mpg. That's with a 2WD 5.4 Supercab with 3.55s. The best I've seen to date out of this truck at a steady highway cruise is maybe 23-24 mpg, but realistically driving, it hovers around 19-20.
