Assuming no trade-in which screws up the mathematics and encouranges head games on behalf of the dealer, a cash/buyer financed $300 under dealer's invoice is a decent start, but that can be beat depending on dealer, rebates, interest rate gimmicks (if you're financing), and local competition.

How would I go about finding the dealer's invoice price? Ok, here is a link to the trucks Window Sticker. The MSRP is $42,020 and they are advertising it $33,246, of which states that it includes all factory incentives and rebates. Is this a good deal? I would also like to know how to go about it with not getting screwed on my trade-in. Do I tell them up front that I have no trade, then after a price is settled on, tell them that I have a trade?

Just do your homework and come armed with a little documentation. Would you agree that it is fair for the dealer and the salesperson to make any money?

You can buy a Ford F-150 for invoice all day long. That is more than fair.
The markup is all given away, and dealer makes holdback. Salesperson probably gets paid a $100.00 flat. Go to www.fordvehicles.com or edmunds.com to find out current rebates and incentives for your zip code.

Do your homework on your trade. Kelly Blue Book is a good guide.
Go to www.kbb.com and look up the value of your trade, so you have an idea of what you might expect.

In Florida, invoice deals are pretty much the norm. Things might be a little different in your market area.
Good luck! You will love your new truck!

$36773 is your invoice price...

As far as 32K being good. I should say that is great. That would be $1700 below invoice minus rebates.....That would be taking all the holdback money and then some....Not sure you will get that price right now...possible...If you do..take it and run...There is 3K in rebates right now...actually $3500 if you don't take the $500 Home Depot giftcard but rather ask for $500 off the truck.

Plus an additional $500 off if you are active / retired military, recent or soon to be college grad, or member of the American Quarter Horse Association (you can take one of these incentives, but not all).

I bought mine on 6 June and had $4000 in incentives ($2000 rebate, $1000 Ford credit, $500 military, and $500 Home Depot). I refinanced it last week though my bank (USAA) for 4.25% and did not lose the $1000 from Ford finance.

Good luck.

golfer...invoice prices are no secret. Go to www.edmunds.com or www.kbb.com, ask your dealer, check the newsstand, try any search engine, e.g. Google, etc.etc.

Honestly the best idea is to hold out for the 2006 models to come out, and try to find a 2005 with all the options you want or close to it. You'll get the best deal plus you won't get ugly round foglights!
