Solution for ugly decals

I was at home the other day looking and my dads new "around town ride" a sweet BMW 645ci ( his everyday work truck is a F-150) and we were talking about some stickers he had to put on it. I know most of you are like me and hate having to put ugly decals on your trucks like parking passes, park passes, country club memberships. So i sat on my butt for a little bit and came up with a pretty good solution.

I went to a craft store and bought a 11x8 piece of sheet magnet. Stuck the stickers on it, cut out the sticker and - walla. My dad has his decals for his car in the glove compartment and when he needs them he just pulls it out and slaps it on.I am planning on doing the same thing with my school parking pass when i get it in the fall.

Whoah...I wish I had that problem.

"Hey, ****, enough with the pictures, it's a parking lot!"

great idea!- thought about doing magnets for a while, but didnt want to risk losing or having them stolen... so to ease removal, i got some of that clear contact paper stuff stuck my stickers to it, and then stuck them on the bumper- that way there is a permanence, yet, removal should be plain and simple- however nothing compared to the ease of slap on slap off!

good idea!- jj

Me too -- the only country club im a member of only has 12 "holes" cause thats all you need when you play golf - golf w/shotguns. Big Red Oak Plantation Sporting Clay Range

Side note - the local public highschool near to my house has on average 25 million dollars worth of cars in it. ( 500 parking spaces) Drives me crazy ( and jealous) seeing a $80K car with a parking decal stuck on the paint

Why don't they just have them put on the front windshield? Thats how our school does it anyways.

Good idea!

Now what you need to come up with is a solution for are the "FUGLY" inspection and registaration stickers we have to stick to the inside of our windshields down here in Texas!

I hate having those things stuck down in the corner of my windshield -- I wish Texas would just put an adhesive sticker on the actual license plate like most other places I have lived!

I've got a Ft. Benning registration sticker...got it stuck on the lower left portion of my windshield, just beside the VIN, can't see but a corner of it from inside, so it's not really noticable. I had my college parking permit stuck on the lower left corner of the rear glass, they wanted them stuck on the rear bumper. Uh, I don't think so. Never got harassed over it though.

I knew a guy who stuck the windshield sticker to a piece of cardboard hung around the rearview mirror...kept getting ticketed anyway because the ticket ***** never looked up.

sspangl--your local public highschool parking lot has $80K cars in it? That's nuts! The highschool I went to had $80 cars in the lot...the rich kids in the neighborhood had such automotive gems as 80's Camaros with V-6's, Ford Tempos, and Dodge Charger 2.2L's. The rest of us had anything that ran.
I had a silver 1987 Plymouth Horizon 4-dr w/ luggage rack and 2 spkr AM/FM radio. My friend had a 80's Ford Fiesta with no floor (road salt-made it a little breezy in the winter) and a cherry bomb exhaust (sounded like a hornet.)
