I Understand the XCAL is no more than an "empty" device that gets programmed by an individual, it's merely my opinion about Troyer Performance being a great VENDOR to have program the device with a tune that you can really feel in the seat of your pants. I think all he does is Ford's.....thats good enough for me.
its all good, im not trying to arge with you, just letting people know that there are other vendors if they are not happy with Troyer. i got mine from Doug Studdard at www.BamaChips.com, who is a certified Ford master tech and has been for 30 years. he worked first hand with brian herron of Apten Chips, and when brian, went to SCT, doug jumped on the chance to sell the programming. doug knows a LOT about these trucks and all fords, and he recently just started diesel tuning. so there are others out there. i can only speak for the ones i know, which is true as well for anyone speaking on Troyer

some folk are pretty hard to please. I don't know any vendors of anything that do as much as Troyer does for its customers. And I say this even though I am awaiting shipment of an AF1 from Troyer.
Old urban legend is that 3 things apply to any product: Price, Quality and Service. You can only have 2 of the 3. It seems to me that with the Troyer folks we do in fact get all 3, an exception to the "rule".
