Squeaky Rear End
Any of the fixes they performed never lasted more than a tank a gas/duration of a week. It has now been two weeks, and not even a hint of a squeek.
The parts they replaced the last time were
- 1L3Z*99404A42*AA Striker
- 3L3Z*9943150*AA Latch Asy - Tailgate (Right)

Thumper...
I had the same problem... everytime I would enter my driveway, the suspension would articulate some and would squeak.. also did it other time on the road when suspension would collapse...
They greased the crap out of my leaf springs more than thrice and the squeak kept coming back..
They finally replaced the leaf springs on both sides in the rear, and the squeak is gone... Ive been squeak free since about november now I think..
I understand your pain.. then squeak is VERY annoying..

K, well your suspension articulation squeek doesn't sound NEARLY as annoying as the bed/tailgate squeek I had. It damn near drove me insane, I'm not kidding. Everywhere I went, smooth road, rough road, 15mph-any mph, squeek squeek sqeeuk over and over and over, pierced the "quiet steel" even. Damn, I'm having flashbacks to my bed squeek
I jumped in the bed yesterday to fetch some stuff out and noticed a squeak too, it's coming from the left rear spring shackel. I sprayed some silicon spray penetrateing fluid on the bushings. That didn't help. I can pull down on the bed on the left side with my head in the left rear wheel well and duplicate the noise. So I guess I'll take it in. Probably will need to remove the bolts and clean them up and lube them the cure it.
They called today and said they took apart the leaf springs and shackles and cleaned them up. They told me it was because dirt got in there and they acted like my truck is never supposed to see dirt. We'll see what happens..
I guess they're under the impression if they drive like a cadillac, you should treat it like one, and you can't take a tuna boat off the highway. Nevermind it's a 4wd truck, right Thumper? These damn road hippies
I told them if people didn't plan on taking their trucks offroad why would they make an FX4 package 'catered' to people who offroad and I would of bought a 2WD truck if I didn't plan on taking my truck offroad.
i thought mine was horrible. every time i'd go over a speed bump or even articulate the rear suspension it would be squeakin away. my fix was a nice blast of silicone grease inbetween the leaf springs. worked great, for a day, until i rode with the windows down and found out the real culprit... TAILGATE LATCHES. if you close your tailgate and listen, it will probly make the sound you're looking for. i greased up the latch and pivot point on both sides of the tailgate and VOILA! no more squeaks

mmmmmm good show. I had/have the same problem, but not many others, just use good old lube every 4-6 months.
