How much is everyone paying for their AF1 intake?

Whats the cheapest anyones seen the AF1 intake for? Ive looked at multiple pages and cant seem to find it under 300 anywhwere.<snip> About the best deal Ive seen so far is 305 with free shipping. Thanks

Unfortunately, we don't allow discussions of supporting vendor prices here at our forums. This is a rule that is in place to protect our vendors as well as our members. Thanks for your understanding. --rp--

Slow or not, Troyer Performance has the best customer service of any business I have ever dealt with. Even if their price isn't the lowest, it is still the best value for the money when you take into account their customer service. Some things you don't want the cheapest price on: parachutes, brake jobs, life rafts, custom tuning for $35,000.00 F150 pickup.

<snip> ...

While I totally understand your question and concern, you still aren't allowed to talk price here at f150online.com concerning our SV's. Be it discount, total sale, or mark-up.

I'd encourage you to call back and obtain another quotation if you're concerned that you didn't get what you expected. Thanks for understanding... I'm not trying to take a hard-line on this but we just can't allow discussion on the monetary side. Thanks. - rp -

I would suggest... Go with Moss or another vendor besides TP. I 've been waited for months for mine. Everytime I called I got the run around and no one could get me a straight answer on when I could expect to see my intake.... they keep telling me next week, week after week.
As a matter of fact I am still waiting on it. They do not provide you with a tracking number or anytype of ETA. People rave about TP and I have done business with them before and would agree they are good, but not this time...

I am not so sure I will order through TP in the future, even if the price is cheaper on a few items. I would rather pay more for better service.

This " Do not talk about price bull**** is really stupid", that's what the makes these forums and the internet as a whole a great utility.. the ability to find the best answers and shop for the lowest prices. If the supporting vendors had close to the lowest price and provide the best customer service, I imagine most of the people on here are going to buy from them anyway...so what's the big deal about comparing prices, its a free market, different people are gonna pay different prices...If the vendor won't sell at your asking price then go somewhere else or pay what he is asking.

Does this mean you CAN discuss prices from non-supporting vendors? If so, it doesn't make much sense that a vendor who pays/supports this site can't mention his price.

Hey Maxxis... Thanks for your insightful feedback. Calling something 'BS' is surely a way that you'll accomplish something here. It's also a sure-fire way to **** me off.

I've never edited an 'opinion' about a SV to date on f150online.com but, I am tasked with enforcing the SV rules. Period. It's that simple.

While you're entitled to your opinion, you agreed to the rules here when you signed up. I'm tasked with enforcing the said rules. Those rules help to ensure that this site continues to operate and continues to operate as a FREE 'utility' to our members.

It's pretty simple man. If you don't like it, there are lots of other sites on the web. Further, you have the same opportunity to contact all of the same vendors that ANYONE can contact. I'd encourage you to follow-up with someone else if you draw exception to our rules here... rules that, again, you agreed to when you signed up. You can post about ANY of them with the exception of the SVs. To compliment this, the SVs aren't allowed to post their prices here either.

It is a free market but you're utilizing a private utility at f150online.com.

Forward your concerns to Steve (webmaster@f150online.com). This is something that I'm tasked with enforcing... I don't make the rules.

I think it's a good thing that vendors can't post their prices and that users cannot post the prices of SVs.

The main reason that comes to my mind is to keep f150online from becoming one big advertisement location for vendors that sell F150 products. I understand that advertising still is used on f150online, but I'm referring to the "Buy Me" type posts or "Don't Buy Him" posts that would litter the forums.

All it takes is 15 minutes to call, email or seach a vendors website to compare the prices on your own. Also, a search will show you who bought what from where.

In summation....I tip my hat to RP. He puts up with a lot of crap, and to my knowledge has not recieved any kickbacks for his service and time commitment to this site. I, as well as countless others, would agree this site has been an invalueable resource for our trucks.

My post above was not directed at a particular SV or against any particular person on this forum, rather it was directed at a rule that I believe is not correct. As Pick pointed out I did agree to whatever rules and regulations are in place that these forum creators deem necessary and I plan to abide by those rules. It is however my right as a registered user to voice my opinion on any matter in this forum and that said, my opinion is that the exchange of relevant information would only make this a more useful utility to all users.

Pick,
I realize someone has to enforce these rules and that's all well and good. You don't have to read b/t the lines and get upset over something you thought was directed at you. Although I agreed to rules when I signed up for this forum, your responsibility as the F150online enforcer shouldn't include the need to respond to opinions of members...I am aware of the rules, all you did in your rant was point out multiple times about a rule I was already aware of so you accomplished absolutely nothing. If you dont want the job then quit, but don't try to ram a bunch or rules this and rules that down my throat while at the same time saying "I don't make the rules I'm just the bag boy."
And in case there was a question in your mind...Yes the above was directed at you. EOD

XXIS:

Here's the scoop "EOD", while I do occasionally step in and put my foot down on issues, it's rare. This is one where I refuse to let your opinion sway my authority. Simply put, whether or not I'm the bag boy or Ernie Els is of no concern to you. The bottom line is that if a rookie cop pulls you over for speeding, you were probably breaking the rules. If a seasoned cop pulls you over, you were probably breaking the rules. Bottom line lies within the rules. Neither of them made the rules, they simply enforce them. I carry the badge and a 8-iron.

Rules were broken. A chip-shot was topped.

It was pretty easy to read between your lines when you called out, and I quote, "This " Do not talk about price bull**** is really stupid"...". Well, at last check, I was the only one that had talked about not talking about price and thus, the lines had a wide open gap between them. I'll tolerate a little kick in the shins but, when you take aim at my chest, prepare to see me defend myself and, further, strike back.

99 times out of 100 most will find that I'm a pretty fair guy. Not only do I moderate but, I participate quite a bit. Most will also say that I've contributed to the bulk and to the whole of our F-series community. It's the separation of moderation and membership that I often find annoying. While I want to participate, I often have to rise up and play moderator which, in turn, hacks one or two off. None the less, I'm tasked with cruising the forums and taking care of issues that I feel aren't in accordance with the rules or the 'spirit' of the site. Your spirit is missing on a "triple bogey" note here EOD.

So, with that in mind, I'll reiterate what I've already once said within this thread... if you don't like the way that things are maintained, managed, and enforced here either 1) take it up with the site owner (email address provided above for a one-stop-shop of clicking excitement) or 2) leave; no one forces you to stay. While your opinion is a free one, lashing out about something you feel is unjust in this forum isn't appropriate. The buck doesn't stop here but, I'm the next to the last stop... Seems like a pretty simple par 3 hole to me. 8-iron sir?
