simple truck comparison/crash test info

Just saw this on MSN.com

http://autos.msn.com/research/compar...99993&GT1=6565

Nothing new as far as the stats, but the crash test comparisons are most interesting to me. (about 3/4 of the way down the page)

Makes me glad I didn't get a Chevy! OUCH!

Wow! The F-150 is a Tank!! I can't see nearly as much damage to the driver/passenger compartment as the other vehicles clearly show. I liked the part where it said the dummy's head still hit the steering wheel with the airbag deployed on the Titan.

Those photos are clearly an eye opener for me, thanks for the link!

Just the other day (tues) I saw the remnants of an '04 f-150 reg. cab after
a head on collision with a full size school bus. UNBELIEVEABLE hit.. The front
end collapsed just like the one on the commercial where they're crunching it
with the frontend loaders. The thing was crunched and the drivers door still
opened and closed with out a problem. i was blown away how it folded up like
an accordian but the door jam was still good, the way the hood and fenders
and grille ***. etc.etc were mooshed you'd immediately think injury but the
driver was standing there talking to the trooper like it was no big deal...

It sure is a major improvement over the last f150. It was pretty much a death trap according to those tests. The titan wasnt bad but lol if i crashed it i would be happy lol to get rid of something that ugly. Poor chevy they need some help. Id still take a chevy over a titan or toyota.
