Street Scene Grill?

Im thinking about getting a Street Scene Grille for my truck. I'd like to paint the plastic peice black that, the Arizona Beige peice, shows inside of the chrome surrond. What do you guys think? If anyone could photoshop it up that'd even be killer. Which style do I need to go with? Chrome, Stainless Steel, or Brushed. I really have no idea what the difference in the look of them is, if there is that much at all.

Brushed is more of a dull color - I would not suggest it. I would go with the chrome or stainless myself. I believe my grille was called "polished" or something like that.

For reference, here is what polished looks like:

Im thinking about going chrome if I do it since I can get both the upper and lower in chrome. Where can you get them? The only place I found them at was Moss and they want $180 for the top and $95 for the bottom. Is the grill a bolt on type meaning Im going to need to keep the factory honeycomb grille in tact to install it?

Upper: http://www.stylinconcepts.com (beat Moss by $30, direct link)

Lower: http://www.autoanything.com (direct link to CW grilles)

Mine were bolt-on, but I dunno 'bout yours.

Enjoy!

I've got black chrome on mine and my brother has the satin on his (only because we traded). He has the beige grille also and hasn't cut it out yet, I cut mine out (black) and it looks better with it cut out. We both like the chrome grilles better than the satin. Both trucks are in my gallery.

Thanks, but Im not looking for the Carriage Works grille. Its going to be either the Street Scene grill or nothing.

Now I can't even decide if I want black or chrome? I think If I do it either way Im going to try to buy someones used XLT grille so I can keep my factory one intact.

Thumper,

I found several sites selling the SS grill and lower valance heres one:

http://www.sporttruckdirect.com/SSE_..._Spoilers.html
$145.95 (#78770) and $79.95 (#78726) in chrome.

I just picked up some extra cash and was looking at this as my next upgrade.

Question? Would I have to keep the SS badge or can I remove it? I think it detracts from the overall smooth look of the grill.

TIA

Im just worried that it'll be way too much chrome up front. What do you guys think?

Im almost positive that you can remove the SS emblem.

IMO I think that the chrome grill would go nicely on your truck and that It would'nt be too much chrome.

My girlfriend makes the final decisions on my mods (and like most girls) she likes things that are shiny (which explains why she loves jewelry ).

Besides shiny usually equals clean and well maintained. When I have any dirty work that needs to be done, I always borrow my brother-in-laws truck, its a DODGE

Thumper, I think that with your lighter colored truck the chrome would !!!!!!
I have a black Lariat like surf's bro and I really WANT the chrome up front. But on the Black truck THEN I think it may be too much chrome...so I will likely go with a black insert.

do the chrome man, trust me you'll be cool

Go chrome! See my SS grills on Shadow Grey at:

http://www.f150online.com/galleries/....cfm?gnum=3886.

Don't sweat the SS logos...they are stick-ons that y'all add or not.

Unless y'all remove your honeycomb or paint it flat black, the OEM Lariat grill will show through the SS. However, on my XLT, I installed the SS as a boltover and the honeycomb does not show through.

Thumper....IMO..because you asked..lol I think your grill looks awesome just as it is. If I were to change it I wouldnt go with the street scenes grill. Its just that "street" and your truck is not. Its a nice leveled beefy rig. What if you were to get the FX4 grill, paint it to match the truck color and then put the Polished (which look chrome) inserts in it from carriage works like mine?? Just a thought. I think that would look sweet. I just dont think that street scene grill will do your truck justice.

I have the stainless, i had the chrome but it started rusting about 2 weeks after i put it on. I have since replaced the stainless SS grill with the CW Replacement grill. I have my SS SS grill for sale now. Email me at [email]pbutts@mail.com if you are interested in a steal of a deal. (shameless plug)
