Question What is being paid for a 2005 FX4 supercab

I currently own a 2002 GMC Sierra with HIGH mileage and am currently looking at buying a 05 supercab FX4. The sticker on the truck was 36k, but I keep up with current isssues (sales low for US automakers and fuel costs) and feel I may have some bargaining power. I'm just wanting an idea of what people are paying for them. Truck is equipped with: 5.4; 3:73's; power driver seat and windows; sport cloth 40/20/40; am/fm w/ 6-disc; LT 275/65/18; tow pckg; running boards

I've checked with Edmund's and Blue Book but they gave me different figures with the same options. I'm just trying to see how much room I have.

Jabo - go to the NADA web site and they will give you invoice on the '05. My best guess would be somewhere in the range of $28K - $30K....that's including the $3K available in rebates and another $3K - $5K in discount off the MSRP....watch out for dealer added options (like running boards) very high markup in those things.

There is also a web site that my brother uses called carsdirect (or similar) that quotes some very good deals with the vehicle delivered to your door. I used prices from both of these sources while shopping and purchased a $40K (MSRP) Lariat SCREW 4x4 with a total discount of $8K (inc. 3K in rebates).

good luck!

Late may I picked up a 2005 SCrew FX4 ,Tow package, running boards and some other goodies the sticker on the window said 37,500 I got them down to 31,500 and got an additional 3k off in rebates. So 28,5k all said and done with 4500 for my 99 ranger trade in. Ford is giving them away sort of don't let the sticker price get ya if they really want to sell they will bring the $$$$ down quite a bit.

04' FX4 Screw
MSRP: $38,000
Paid: $31,000

BTW - This was in the middle of last year, when the new F150 was still fresh, and sales still very strong. You should be able to get a better deal these days!!! $8,000 - $10,000 off MSRP should be possible when you factor both dealer and factory incentives.

Go to the dealer and ask to speak with the fleet manager directly. Tell him you want the best deal on the truck, and that you will be comparing his offer with a few other Ford dealerships in the area. Also ask if any FX4s will be put on weekend "loser" deals (i.e. Loss Leaders), which will have even more factory incentives!

I don't remember all the rebates and crap that I got, but my trucks price was $31,750.

05 fx4 supercab w/ 6.5" bed, true blue dual tone, captian chairs, Leather, tubular running boards, 3.73, 35.7 gallon tank, moon roof, power sliding rear window, tow package (believe this may be a standard option), deluxe mirror's, and I think that's it. All the rest I left the basics on. Like rims and tires, not worth paying more for them since I will buy aftermarkets anyway, stereo as well.
