Those of you with the 1714 tuner

when you have the 93 octane setting installed and you go WOT does your transmission hiss like a blow off valve on a turbo when is shifts gears?? if so what is it??

Nope...mine shifts quietly. At wot it shifts like its going to snap your neck in two....but it is quiet.

it only will happen on the 1-2 shift and happens because the engine in 1st gear will go so quickly it wont have enough to time shift and "accidently" hit the rev limiter. I used my tuner to lower the RPM shift point has a fix as right now whinding out in 1st doesnt feel any difference so might keep the revs low too

Are you sure its not belt slip? Mine slips at WOT shifts.

I'm pretty sure you are experiancing belt slips....

Def belt slip, get a Goodyear Gatorback belt for Troyer's and your troubles will be solved!

i just placed my order for my 1714 this morning!.. i cant wait.. also have my AF1 and TBS coming in the mail as we speak!.. unleash the beast!

so yall think its belt slip?? it definatley sounds like a hisss coming from the bottom of the truck... well i will get the new belt anyways just to see if thats it. but if it is slipping and i get a new belt does that mean that my shifts will be evan harder??? my neck is about broken right now as it is. 93 octane setting is what i have it tuned to right now

yup its belt slip lol...hrmm in my one "lightitup" vid you can hear it... hld on ill post the vid just so you can confirm its the same noise...

???? are you kidding?.. on an 05..??? i ordered from troyer

it said for the 5.4 3valve

on the superchips site they had a 1725

You'd better get on the phone to Troyer right away and get it straightened out! The 1714 is for 04s only.

i did after that post, he said they saw the mistake and sent out the correct one 1745.. thank god!.. man are they on top of it!.. thanks troyer!!

night and day differece on high performace tune!.. i love it.. WOT , boy shifts are nuts!
