Post How to remove your center console, with pics!

Ok guys, I finally got around to replacing my carpet and I decided to do a little write-up on removing the complete center console. It is pretty easy and requires only a 7mm and 8mm driver, and a plastic wedge if you have fat fingers . Click the first pic in the gallery and just keep hitting "next" for descriptions. Hope you like it

A while back a battery spilled some acid out onto the carpet and F'ed it up and I couldn't stand to leave it like that. Here's the link to my other gallery with pics of that....they're at the bottom.

Thanks for the write up! I plan to take off some of the center consol to get painted to match the exterior. I would of figured it out, but you probably saved me quite a bit of time and frustration with the pictures and details. Here's one on me...

problem

I got everything out and hooked the shifter back up but it wont go in gear. what the hell did I do wrong?
