06 New longer bed option - available job 2

As I was spec'ing 06 F-150's in CONCEPS (Ford mainframe computer), I noticed a longer wheelbase option for w12's & w14's (Supercrews, 4x2, 4x4). This is twelve inches longer than the current wheelbase. When I entered this number, I received a message saying that this option was available beginning with job 2. My ordering guide (on paper) does not reflect this option............. yet.
It looks like a new 6-1/2' bed option for Supercrews, but I don't know that for a fact. Who knows, might even be an 8 footer?!?!

fact??

It was suppose to happen on Job 1 for 2006, it was talked about for 2005 and it is still not happening yet. We will see if it ever gets done. I would imagine that would be one looooong truck that most people would not opt for after driving it and trying to park it in a lot or in their garage.

I wish they had it. I would have liked that option. I use the bed of my truck a lot and would be nice to have the extra foot but I haul a lot of people so the extra room in the cab is nice too. My next truck will be a Superduty if the options still are not available.

Suncoast--is there any way to check if the 6.5' Screw will be available in KR or Lariat trim levels? I am thinking since they only offer the 8' bed in certain trim levels, Ford is going to do the same with the 6.5' Screw.

I need my 6.5' box. I would of ordered a Screw 6.5 if possible but had to settle for my 05 Scab. I don't think the extra foot will be as bad as a Scab 8' box

I'm told it'll be available at the same time the 6.5 is available. Further, the 06 KR will have optional 20" wheels.

The 6.5 on the KR is word of mouth and thus, in my opinon, rumor at this point (although rumor from a FoMoCo employee in Dearborn).. I've seen the 20" rims published on a FoMoCo maintained site so, I'm pretty sure that's going to happen.
