i am still undecided. i really like the KR interior. i think as soon as i get a little time i will hit a few other dealers and see what they can do.
now to really confuse things we were passing a lincoln dealer and the wife spooted an mark LT. she really likes that. they are sitting there for 47k and no incentives. that might be the reason i havent seen any on the road. didnt have the time to talk to a salesman but i can imagine that would be my truck and 25k.

And by the way, buying 9 new Fords in 9 years is nothing to brag about, at least in my book.
I saw a King Ranch the otherday. No way to tell the difference from the outside other than the bading. I don't think it's really worth the extra dough (about $2,000 over a Lariat with the same options) but if you can swing it...GO FOR IT.
Speaking strictly from a financial point of view, don't waste the money. You mentioned that your existing truck has been trouble free. You may not be so lucky with the new truck.
If you like your Lariat and it has been good to you (you've also done some custom work) keep it and have the leather in your truck re-done. At my dealership we have sent out vehicles with cloth interiors to change to leather. It cost about $1,000 and in almost every case the leather has been even nicer than the factory stuff.
Just my .02

Also, FYI... just received some information concerning the 'new' KRs...
The leather will be "darker and redder" sometime soon. I'm not sure if they're gunning for the 06' model year or what but, it's coming... this from my source at Ford (which is VERY reliable).
I'd look for it to go more to a Chaparral colored leather (www.krsaddleshop.com)

I saw a Dark Copper '05 King Ranch at the stealership when we bought our Expedition...
Practically and finacially, it'd be suicide if I tried trading my truck in on that, but what an awesome truck it'd be. Oh well, maybe by the time the '09 King Ranch comes out...
