When in Reverse My Brother 04 150 Lariat Super cab Makes a LOUD outside beeping sound, like to warn people big truck backing up WATCH OUT. Does any body know how to remove it. It was delivered that way from the dealer. He has the reverse sensors but it has nothing to do with that because you could turn that inside beep off at a touch of a button.

I have seen lights for the back-up light with built in beepers, maybe it somehow got installed in a new truck??

 

Yea, check the bulb, you can just look into the reverse light section on the taillight. But sometimes fleet vehicles have these.

 

I think maybe all the truck being sold at Galpin Ford in the San Fernando Valley have it. When I purcahsed my 04 f-150 Lariat super crew there the salesman walked me threw the truck he said he removed that anyioning beeping sound. Then my compa bought an 04 f-150 FX4 super cab there. And when they moved it from the lot it was beeping out loud, but when they gave him the truck it didn't beep any more. So I told my brother just to take it in and they should be able to take it off. But I was wrong they said they could not remove that loud beeping. those three trucks were purchased at Galpin, these two with no reverse sensors. Recently bought an 05 f-150 KR at Ford of Montebello and this one does have the reverse sensor but no loud beeping sound outside. Thanks for the help, more idea's please!

 

Funny, that happens to this girl I know as well. It's the darndest thing, she doesn't even have to be in a car for it to happen

 

Did she get it fixed and if so, what was the problem?

 

Here in southeren Cali (non-fleet) with Galpin chrome surronding licence plate holder, all you hear is BEEP, BEEP, BEEP.

Two out of the three 04 F-150's that i got from Galpin also made the beep sound when backing up they also turned it off for me

check the invoice... maybe its a dealer installed option and you paid for it.
